FCC Environment has launched a new service which for the first time allows organisations of all sizes to research, book and pay for their recycling and waste collections online.
The announcement marks a major step forward for the company’s commercial and industrial customers as FCC Environment continues to transform its Business Waste Solutions services.
Research conducted by WRAP into the barriers which prevent Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) from using recycling services, found that one of the main difficulties for small businesses was finding a cost-effective recycling service. FCC Environment’s new service is aimed squarely at addressing this problem.
Director of sales and marketing at FCC Environment, Kristian Dales, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers, particularly small businesses, to access recycling services.
“We know that businesses and SMEs in particular are very keen to make their operations more environmentally sustainable but can find it difficult to locate convenient and cost-effective recycling services.
“This investment in the front end of our operation is matched with investment in new infrastructure which combine to demonstrate our commitment to providing high quality recycling facilities to our customers.”
FCC Environment is developing collection and treatment services that will allow value to be extracted from waste produced by SMEs, either through recycling or energy generation.
