Whats happening now?
Waste Recycling Group (WRG) submitted a planning application to Nottingham City Council to extend the Eastcroft Energy-from-Waste facility. This planning application has now been approved.

What happens to rubbish once it leaves the bin?

On 6th & 7th October the Waste Recycling Group (WRG) in conjunction with Nottingham City Council opens its doors on Incinerator Road to the public to give them the chance to see how their rubbish is recycled into energy that powers many homes and buildings across Nottingham.

Compost


We operate compost plants throughout the UK, and compost over 100,000 tonnes every year.

The compost produced finds a variety of end users; restoration of our own landfill sites, some is returned to our local authority partners, and, increasingly it is used for the manufacture of top quality soils and bagged compost for the retail sector.
