GALLYMOOR
WRG is submitting proposals for new facilities to increase recycling and composting at the existing waste management site at Gallymoor, near Holme upon Spalding Moor.
The proposals include:
- a new facility to collect together up to 10,000 tonnes a year of paper, glass and metal separated by householders at home and collected by the councils through kerbsibe recycling schemes. This will be sent on for further reprocessing and will eventually be used to make recycled products
- new composting facilities are also proposed, able to take up to 50,000 tonnes a year of garden and kitchen rubbish. The compost produced will be used as a soil improver and to replace peat based products. The compost will be available for use on local farms.
You can find out more about recycling and composting by going to the appropriate pages on this site and downloading case studies.
