WRG'S PLANNING APPLICATIONS FOR NEW RECYCLING AND COMPOSTING FACILITIES AT GALLYMOOR, AND NEW RECYCLING AND ENERGY RECOVERY FACILITIES AT SALT END HAVE NOW BEEN APPROVED.

THE PLANNING PROCESS

FOLLOWING THE FORMAL GRANT OF PLANNING PERMISSION FROM EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL AND HULL CITY COUNCIL, WRG WILL STILL NEED TO BE GRANTED A PERMIT BY THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY TO OPERATE THE SALT END FACILITY.

Target 45+ focusses on recycling

Target 45+ focusses on recycling

Target 45+ will provide new facilities to help to increase recycling and composting in Hull and the East Riding to 45%.

Waste which is not recycled will be converted into green energy, providing the energy equivalent of 80,000 tonnes of coal a year.  Target 45+ will save 4 million tonnes of waste going to landfill in the next 20 years.
