Welcome to Waste Recycling Group

Waste Recycling Group Limited (WRG), a leading UK waste management and energy recovery company, is part of FCC the international environmental services, infrastructure and energy group.

WRG is focused on delivering integrated waste management and energy recovery solutions to meet national, regional and local needs for local authorities and private commercial companies. The Company operates facilities for the reception, recycling and disposal of waste, including a network of waste transfer and recycling centres and a regional network of landfill sites, and also manages a wide range of recycling sites on behalf of local authorities for use by the general public.

The profile of the UK's waste management industry has never been higher, the pressures on local authorities and the economy to reduce waste and maximise re-use and recovery, never greater. Through innovation, service and expertise - cornerstones of the Company's approach - Waste Recycling Group is committed to working with our local authority partners and industry customers to respond to often complex and far-reaching waste management strategies, to react to increased regulation from the UK and Europe, and to meet demanding waste management targets.

Wind

Building on its well-established track record in energy recovery, WRG is now taking an innovative approach to finding additional ways to use its landholding to help generate renewable energy in the UK.

WRG is committed to helping the UK meet its renewable energy targets and reduce its carbon emissions. Recognising that the UK has the best wind resource in Europe - and could meet at least 40 per cent of its electricity requirements through on-and-off-shore wind power generation - WRG has reached the conclusion that developing wind turbines on appropriate and existing landfill sites is the next logical step for the company to take.
